A letter from the owner

Hi friends,

You may have noticed that Centerline took a hiatus from social media, email marketing, and horse shows for the last few months. This was a hard-chosen intentional decision and I want to let our followers, friends and clients know what we’ve been up to and why we’ve been publicly absent.

This deliberate partial pause was to allow us time to move to our new location without any service interruption and refocus our business with fewer brands but a broader range within each of their product lines. It was, I believed, a considerate strategy that was financially difficult for us but was meant to preserve good customer service while we regrouped.

We are a small company in a small town, but we pride ourselves on providing big service. Our service was certainly not to my standards over the holidays during an extremely difficult staffing period while my attention was unfortunately necessarily focused elsewhere. I deeply regret not attending to our Centerline clients more diligently and putting my trust in the wrong place. To anyone negatively affected, I will continue to express my most sincere apologies. I have spent the last few months catching up with any missed details, orders and client communications. Every waking moment, I am assisting clients for the boutique or the farm.

Gladly, we are settled in our new location as of Tuesday, receiving long awaited restocks from our favorite vendors and our shipping is quicker than ever - most packages leave the shop within hours. Normally, I would have excitedly announced our move and our progress, but that in itself was bittersweet. Within hours of closing the door at the original shop, I received two pieces of information that hit me like a ton of bricks; a lifelong friend had succumb to his fight against COVID-19 and a client was engaging in the dissemination of disinformation.

The way he left this world I would not wish on anyone. His loss has shaken me to the core and so during these scary times I have decided to be bolder than I feel and fight for my company and happiness.

Another day I might have ignored the bullying, but today I am reminded that life is precious, and we should spend our time doing something good.

While selling tack might not be world changing, I am proud to provide excellent product knowledge, selection and service to our clients that enables them to have confidence in the saddle. I hope to continue to do so while promoting forward-thinking products that I love so dearly from brands that I respect.

A massive heartfelt thank you to the clients who have been with us from the beginning. It means so much to me to be part of your journey. And to our supportive vendors, we are so honored to represent your brands. Please stay safe and take care of one another.
