I have such a hard time finding proper fitting equipment for my "Petite" Shire but the X-Large Boots fit her perfectly! They protect her in just the right places, look super sharp, go on and off easily and clean up fast even in mud! The hard shell in the back is exactly what we needed to protect her tendons. I'm just thrilled with them.
Been using these for nearly a year. Easy on, easy off. Quick clean up; just wipe them down with a damp cloth. Velcro has held up, but I've noticed stitching starting unravel.
Beautiful boots! They are lovely on and they fit true to size, but my horse just hated the stiffness in the hind boots. I put them on him for the first time for a clinic, and we had to stop during the warm-up to remove the hind boots. He had lots of hock action in trot, then in canter felt like he wanted to kick them off. He wears DSB type boots everyday, so this is the first time I've had this type of issue. I'm hoping my young horse won't object since they are so lovely. But be forewarned for the most sensitive types, these are stiff.
Stylish and well-fitting boots, highly recommend.
